Cap’n & Clouds

My friend Captain Yan Turnquest invited me to troll for Wahoo on his charter boat off Long Island, Bahamas. Besides an opportunity to fulfill life long dreams, what a perfect chance to follow through with my commitment to capture more people and moments.

Those clouds and the character also known as Yan, sometimes in focus and sometimes out of focus… Which somehow fits him, fun, friendly, welcoming, but also a story teller, half full of s@#&, and one of the most legit fisherman I know. When it comes to fishing, he has done just about everything you can do in the Bahamas.

The last sequence happened by total accident, error on my part. I had the camera focused on the clouds and then Yan happened. I had just the slightest moment to choose my focus, the lighting and those clouds looked from beyond our world. I was visually distracted. I took some creative liberties here, but lets go with it.

What an fun day, some great friends, Caribbean rum, and our boat landed a Wahoo. Fish On
