Our Existence
A momentary encounter on top of a mountain, best described as a most interesting mix of intense energies and attraction with the single most beautiful women I have ever seen. “Surreal” was her word for the moment, mine was “confusion”, and I believe a mutual agreement to the energy between us.
Her beauty captured my spirit, like some Native American Indian lore, who knows, maybe I willingly surrendered it. “He lost his voice to beauty, it’s a very old problem.” - One Who Waits, Ed’s Indian spirit guide.
It all happened in moment, then she flew out of my life like a beautiful butterfly. Could have been the wrong time or place for our energies to meet, who knows, I am challenged with the understanding that a women exists with such powers, she leveled me, in the same breath I am comforted knowing that incredible beauty exists somewhere.
My cheeks are starting to hurt from this smile on my face as I write, reflecting on a great piece of livin’, wishing to meet her again, convincing myself that the knowledge of each others existence might be all that matters.
“We all carry around so much pain in our hearts. Love and pain and beauty, they all seem to go together, like one little tidy confusing package. It’s a messy business, life, its hard to figure, and its full of surprises. And some good, some bad.”
-Chris Stevens, Northern Exposure S2E2 The Big Kiss
