Science, Art, Magic
Having been on this incredible journey, on this ride alone for awhile now, with ample space for real reflection, self growth, personal development, and the acquisition of a superpower, I will give it to you as straight as I can. I am a man of science, logic and reason, so call the looney bin and get out the straight jackets if you must, but at this point I believe a preponderance of the evidence suggests, I am manifesting my desires into reality.
It is a reasonable conclusion to state that we really have no idea how this whole thing functions, the universe is a mysterious place to us homo sapiens, all the matter we can see and touch, our entire reality, is simply vibrating particles of energy, whose behavior we can’t directly observe, as our mere observance of those particles changes their behavior, explain that one. Who is to say we can’t bend that energy to our will, we are matter, vibrating particles, we are that energy.
Over my lifetime, I have become particularly adept at setting things aside, things which do not serve me anymore, making space for new things. I see so many good people bogged down in behaviors, habits, and daily actions that are clearly not serving them well anymore, makes me sad sometimes, this is where the human tendency to become creatures of habit and ease works against our natural connection with the energy that makes up everything in the universe, a connection, I contend, which allows for change and ultimately manifestation.
As a human with this tendency for complacency and ease, I am more often than I would prefer getting stuck in habits, actions, or behaviors that maybe once served a purpose, but now are only keeping me static or worse, working against my best interest. I have to give myself permission to let go of those things, set them aside, so I can make room for new experiences and habits. I can always pick them back up later if I choose, but I have to make room, there is only so much of me to go around.
Those stories that I have in my head about myself, the endless narrative, that is my ego at work, made of a data set, which encompasses all the stories I have told myself, good, bad, and everything in between, clear back to when my consciousness began as a child, but they are just that, data, stories, not real, at least not in totality or with perspective. I can also choose to set aside those stories that don’t serve me anymore and replace them with new more productive narratives.
Who says you can’t make your own reality?
With my winter adventure planned and set, I am purposely setting aside my old narrative and habits, manifesting a journey that will be brand new to me, allowing this force of positive energy to continue, but in the meantime, I will be brushing up on my Spanish.
Here is to all of you, finding the courage to step into that energy, setting aside whatever isn’t serving you anymore, replacing it with something better, something new, something that takes you one step closer to manifesting your own desires.
Hasta luego,
Joshua
